Project Overview
PLN Batubara Niaga handles coal trading and logistics as part of the PLN group. Their internal finance dashboard goes beyond a standard finance tool — it ties together cash-in/cash-out tracking, debt/receivables management, and the operational side of coal logistics (jetty operations, loading/unloading, transport mode tracking, surveyor coordination) into a single system, since for this business the finance and the physical logistics are inseparable.
The Challenge
Cash flow, debt, and receivables tracking for a coal trading operation involves data from multiple operational sources (jetties, transport, surveyors) that weren't connected to the finance records
No unified view of payment planning against outstanding debt (including coal-specific and transport-specific debt categories)
Reporting required manually pulling together numbers from different operational silos
